The design was Vox meets Marshall but to my ear, it’s a Vox AC15 or AC30 sound. The volume at the halfway mark gives a nice rhythm break up. It’s still loud as hell.

The TopHat Club Royale is a renowned 20-watt, Class A, tube combo amplifier designed and hand wired by Brian Gerhard in 1994, known for its "Vox-meets-Marshall" tone. This amp is a 1998 so an early version still being hand made by Brian.
